The AECC Global 'International Student Recruitment Reimagined’ Webinar was held on 21 May 2020. Keeping in mind the critical questions facing the entire international education sector, the webinar focussed upon on-ground updates from the primary markets of AECC Global which are also some of the largest student source countries for Australia and New Zealand universities.

The webinar also leveraged primary research done by AECC Global in the form of two international surveys titled, 'The Impact of CoViD - 19 on your Study Abroad Plans' and 'Understanding Student Readiness to Study an International Degree Online' respectively. These international surveys were conducted across 7 countries garnering inputs from around 1,300 respondents. They provided key insights to the university partners on the current mindset of students about their study abroad plans, their readiness to take alternate measures and their acceptance to postpone plans.

In addition, the webinar witnessed the introduction of the AECC Global Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) to the university partners and showcased the capabilities of the DIH in multiple areas including Strategy, Consulting, Digital Marketing, Research, Data Analytics and Virtual Events. The DIH will be one of the major differentiators powering the reimagining of international student recruitment and digital transformation of international education marketing.

After the webinar, there was a panel discussion on the current scenario in the international student recruitment sector with special emphasis on the way forward for university partners in the post-pandemic world. Senior thought leaders from the education sector shared their perspectives on various aspects of the reshaping of international student recruitment and the possible long term and short term options available to universities and their implications.
